SAFETY GRIP SYSTEM
The Chimo Safety-Grip System is a flexible polyurethane mat molded to fit the rotary table, monkey
board, dog house steps, or to cover the entire work area.
The Safety Grip System resists tears, abrasions, and chemicals.
The rig name and number are molded into the mat for each application.
SAFETY FACTORS
Proven to reduce slipping, on drilling floor when tripping and connecting.
Improved traction is created by a rough aggregate surface and stainless steel studs.
As drainage for the work area is critical, 1" wide drain grooves allow fluids to drain away.
Test results of various materials used to improve traction were presented by OH&S at the C.A.D.E.
Spring Drilling Conference. The Chimo Safety Grip System was proven superior to the checker plate,
coco mats, ect. traditionally used for traction drilling floors.
Mats can be manufactured in Safety Red or Safety Yellow with engraving to identify “Danger Zones” to
comply with safety requirements.
INSTALLATION
Each mat is custom made to fit the exact configuration required. The mat can be installed on worn
surfaces, saving the cost of new checker plate.
Installed on existing surfaces with ease, the Safety Grip System can be drilled and bolted, or braced
for a solid high traction area.
Rotary tables are covered with a 1-1/4" thick mat for a heavy workload. The monkey boards, false
floors and stair steps are covered with a 3/4" material to effectively lower the cost.
SERVICE
When the aggregate surface is worn, just ship it back to us and we will restore it to near original
condition at a fraction of the costs of a new mat.
